Grace and truth

Grace

God’s love and mercy, shown in Jesus, is a gift we can’t earn and don’t have to.

Truth

The Bible is our foundation. We read the Old and New Testaments together to understand who God is.

Growth

Faith is a journey. We want to keep being transformed, not just informed.

How Telos began

2012Telos South Africa begins

In March 2012, Michael and Daniella Kafouris faced a life-changing challenge when their 3-year-old daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, with only a 20% chance of survival. Their journey of faith began as they sought answers and strength from God, guided by Pastors Niko and Natali Giannakakis of Telos Ministries South Africa.

What started as a weekly gathering around a dining room table grew into a thriving church, and their daughter’s healing story inspired many. You can follow that journey through The Pink Aliceband Campaign on Facebook.

Mike and Daniella continued the mission in Melbourne, starting a Bible group in 2018 that quickly grew into a welcoming fellowship. Today Telos is a community where people grow in faith, form meaningful relationships and make a positive difference in their neighbourhoods.

Lead pastors

Michael and Daniella live in Melbourne with their two children and their Labrador. Both have spent decades as professionals in the corporate world, with a passion for people and for sharing the goodness of God.

The grace and mercy of Jesus has shaped their lives, and they love sharing it. Their mission is to share the message of grace and truth in Australia and build influential leaders with strong biblical values.

Carlos & Janetta Barrocas

Senior church leaders

Carlos and Janetta joined Telos in 2020 and are devoted to growing the message of grace and truth in Australia, as God continues to use them to impact people’s lives.

Carlos leads Telos Youth and is passionate about helping young people connect with and deepen their relationship with God. Janetta leads our church events and keeps building our church in a spirit of wisdom, grace and love.
